This is an Anytime, Anywhere News Service on Telephone.

News on Phone Service was launched on 25th February, 1998 from New Delhi. All India Radio is running the service from Chennai, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Patna, Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Thiruvananthapuram, Imphal and Lucknow. The service is accessible through STD, ISD and local telephone calls.

The service is going to be started from four more cities i.e. Guwahati, Kolkata, Raipur and Shimla shortly.

Each call will be charged at "Premium Call Rates" i.e Rs.1.20 and Rs. 2.40 per minutes respectively for intra and inter calls GSM subcribers and 60 & 30 seconds pulse rate for intra circle respectively for PSTN subcribers
